You’ve Got Your Dad’s Feet

Mod Roc casts, Hand spun and dyed yarn, 2026

You Have Your Dad’s Feet consists of casts taken directly from my own feet. The work began with a phrase my mother has repeated throughout my life: “You have your dad’s feet.” Despite a severed relationship with my father, this physical resemblance remains.

The casts explore inheritance, absence and embodied connection, considering how familial relationships can persist through the body even when emotional or personal relationships are fractured. By isolating the feet, the work focuses on the part of the body that grounds us, carries us through the world and enables movement towards joy, community and belonging.
